Savage joined Flying Dog in April of 2010, and during that time Flying Dog’s sales and brand has grown at a record pace. He currently oversees all of the sales and marketing efforts for Flying Dog, which covers a market geography of 26 states and 17 countries. With the help of his leadership, Flying Dog has grown to be one of the most popular and recognizable craft beers in the mid-Atlantic and beyond. There are nearly 3,000 breweries in the U.S., and Flying Dog currently ranks as the 33rd largest.

Born and raised in Ellicott City, Savage is a lifelong Marylander who has been proud to build meaningful partnerships on behalf of Flying Dog with local organizations like the Oyster Recovery Partnership, Old Bay, MICA, Believe in Music Foundation, The Ulman Cancer Fund for Young Adults, True Blue and the Maryland Department of Natural Resources, The Baltimore Orioles, and The Baltimore Ravens.

Prior to joining Flying Dog, Savage held various roles in corporate marketing, advertising, and creative agency positions. He received a dual undergraduate degree in Marketing and Film from the University of Notre Dame, and an MBA in Marketing at Loyola University of Maryland.

Savage is also the current President of the Brewers Association of Maryland, representing the interests and growth of Maryland’s 32 breweries.
